Odisha CSR Forum in association with Western Odisha Forum organized an interactive session on Corporate Social Responsibility in Odisha at Hotel New Marrion, Bhubaneswar on November 18, 2017. The theme was “Inclusive Growth of Odisha” – Prospects, Challenges and Strategy.
Mr. BK Mishra, Convener of Odisha CSR Forum presided over the meeting, in which various aspects of CSR and its future directions were discussed. Mr. Prashant Kumar Hota, Convener of CSR Panel and Group CSR Head of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd shared the his vision on the Inclusive Growth of Odisha. Dr Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD NALCO, Mr S.N. Tiwari, Convener WOF, Prof Deepak Kumar Mishra, Centre for Studies of Regional Development, JNU, New Delhi, Prof Srijit Mishra NCDC and Dr Shobhan Kumar Pattanayak, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture &Farmers Welfare, Government of India was also present during the occasion.
A Platform like this with Credible Agencies having both Corporate and NGO membership for sustainable social development initiatives will result in execution of high impact CSR projects at the ground level,” said Dr. Tapan Chand, , CMD NALCO. He also said that with CSR our state also need ESR, that is Employee Social Responsibility so that a much broader spectrum can work in the development of Odisha
Representatives of leading corporate organizations like OCL India, NALCO, Triveni Earth Movers, Vedanta, IMFA, Tata Sponge, ADANI, IFFCO, Aditya Birla Group and others participated in this programme.
